“FOLLOW OUR SIMPLE SEVEN STEPS ON HOW TO TRAVEL WITH YOUR SILK TO ENSURE YOUR FAVOURITE PIECES ARRIVE SAFE AND SOUND AT YOUR DESTINATION…”
+ STEP ONE: BEGINNING
Pack your suitcase, leaving room for your silk garments
First thing is first, you’ll need to pack your suitcase. Place everything inside as you usually would, ensuring you leave a small space for your silk garments.
+ STEP TWO: FOLDING
Start by laying the first silk garment on your bed. Fold in any long sleeves or hems until the garment is in a perfect square. Repeat this process until all of your garments have been folded.
+ STEP THREE: ROLLING
Once you have folded all of your garments into neat squares, roll each item into the shape of a sleeping bag. This won’t apply if you have a large silk robe. In this case, hang the item inside a garment bag and place it on top of your packed items. Using a garment bag will keep your suitcase organised and ensure the item doesn’t catch on any material.
+ STEP FOUR: PACKING
Carefully place your sleeping bag-shaped garments into your **GF Satin Storage Bag** and pop it in your suitcase. For extra protection, slide a few sheets of clear tissue paper in between each garment.
+ STEP FIVE: UNFOLDING
Once you have arrived at your destination, delicately unpack your silk garemnts from the GF Silk Storage bag and unfold each of your items and remove any tissue paper.
+ STEP SIX: HANGING
Hang each item on individual hangers.
+ STEP SEVEN: BLOW DRY
Using a hair dryer on warm setting, carefully blow dry any creases or wrinkles out of the garment.
